Extended Higgs sectors, vacuum stability and related issues

Nabarun Chakrabarty

One of the shortcomings of the Standard Model that calls for the intervention of additional physics is the issue
of vacuum instability. This can be alleviated by augmenting the SM with additional bosonic, preferably spin-zero,
degrees of freedom. In this talk, we explore this possibility through multi-Higgs doublet extensions.
We have also touched upon some other also important issues like dark matter that arise in the same context.
